Fall Fun in Litchfield: Here’s What You Can Do

It’s tough to ignore the allure of fall on the coast.

Cooler weather, smaller crowds, sunny days. Autumn is an ideal time to take a Litchfield getaway. Leave yourself time to relax, and check out some of these fun events.

But first, some advice about taking a fall trip to the coast.

Tips for Taking a Beach Vacation in the Fall

It’s flawed to believe this is the offseason for coastal travel. There’s so much to do at the beach that some consider it prime time.

  • Bring beach toys. It’s cooler, but still sand-building weather. Don’t forget a football and Frisbee for the grownups, too.
  • Dress right. Climate-wise and in social settings, it’s shorts-and-t-shirt weather. Bring jeans and a hoodie, though. And regular shoes.
  • Find a festival. It’s not hard to do, and we’ll show you a few here. If you like food and beer, you’re in for a treat in Myrtle Beach.
