The Litchfield in Pawley’s Island is one of the Myrtle Beach area’s most sought after accommodations, catering to avid golfers, event planners and anyone who is looking for a bit of a quieter stay among its 600 acres. Visitors love it for its access to the sprawling, gorgeous Brookgreen Gardens, on-site restaurants and spa, as well as the resort’s ridiculously fun pool and lazy river. Anyone seeking a more low key location away from the bustle of downtown will like it here, and will like it even more when all the planned improvements are made.
Elizabeth Parnell, sales and marketing coordinator for The Litchfield, outlined the changes coming to the resort:
-In the next few weeks, the lobby will be getting a complete decor overhaul, complete with new paint, furniture and updated restrooms.
-Starting this week, the bike path in Litchfield by the Sea will be extended. It will wind its way around the registration area and Starbucks. This will make morning bike rides that much more special — and caffeinated.
-Later this year, the Tara Patio, which is part of the Tara Ballroom, Theater and Lobby Complex, will be getting a whole lot more inviting with the addition of a built-up wall for more privacy, a pergola, a fireplace and an oyster grill — and oysters are a quintessential part of any Myrtle Beach-area visit.
-Landscaping will be updated.
Visitors to the Litchfield will have much to look forward to this year.
