    The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach opened its doors in June 2006. The complex consists of nine fields—four regulation-sized diamonds and five youth diamonds. The fields are designed after historic ballparks from baseball history that include: Griffith Field, Navin Field and The Polo Grounds. At The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, each baseball field features a popular synthetic playing surface used by professional and collegiate teams worldwide.
